End-User License Agreement
Effective 2026-05-09. Licensor: agile turtles, Athens, Greece.
By installing or using Kerveros (the “Software”), you agree to the terms below. If you do not
agree, do not install or use the Software. The canonical text is shipped with the Software as
EULA.md; this page mirrors that document.
1. Grant of license
Subject to timely payment of the license fee, the Licensor grants you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, for personal or internal business purposes. A single license authorizes use by one named individual; team licenses authorize the number of named users stated at purchase.
2. Updates
Each license includes one (1) year of feature and security updates from the date of purchase. After that period, the licensed version remains usable indefinitely; updates beyond that period require a renewal fee published at the time of renewal.
3. Free trial
Kerveros may be used in evaluation mode for fourteen (14) days from first launch on a given device without a license key. After the trial, write operations require a valid license; read access to existing local data remains available indefinitely.
4. Restrictions
You shall not: sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer the Software or license keys; reverse engineer the Software except as permitted by law; remove proprietary notices; use the Software to develop a competing product; or share or publish license keys.
5. Intellectual property
The Software is the exclusive property of the Licensor. This Agreement transfers no ownership rights.
6. Open-source components
Kerveros incorporates open-source components listed in THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.md shipped
with the Software. Those components remain licensed under their original terms.
7. Privacy
The Software runs locally and does not transmit your data, file contents, or file metadata to the Licensor. Optional, opt-in crash-reporting telemetry may transmit anonymized stack traces to a third-party error-tracking service if you have explicitly enabled it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
8. Warranty disclaimer
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THE LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE. THE LICENSOR’S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. You are solely responsible for safeguarding passphrases and license keys; the Licensor cannot recover your data if the passphrase is lost.
10. Termination
This Agreement terminates automatically if you breach any term. Sections 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.
11. Refund policy
A full refund is available within fourteen (14) days of purchase. See the refund policy.
12. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Greece. Disputes are heard exclusively in the competent courts of Athens. You may also have additional rights under your country’s consumer-protection laws; nothing in this Agreement waives those rights to the extent they cannot be waived.
